Few desserts hit quite like a bubbling fruit crumble fresh from the oven, and this one delivers all the warmth and comfort you could want. The filling leans on real berries ā blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, or strawberries ā tossed with maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger, and a squeeze of lemon juice, so every bite is bright, jammy, and deeply fruity. Arrowroot starch thickens everything naturally as it bakes, giving you that gorgeous glossy filling without any mystery additives. The topping is where things get really good: rolled oats, almond flour, sliced almonds, coconut oil, and more maple syrup come together into golden, crunchy clusters that shatter just enough when you dig in. Every single ingredient here is straightforward and recognizable, which matters when you're trying to avoid the synthetic dyes that sneak into so many packaged desserts and store-bought crumble mixes. The color in this dish comes entirely from the berries themselves ā that deep purple-red is 100% the real thing. Let it rest for a few minutes after it comes out of the oven and the filling will thicken into something truly irresistible.
