Fruit juice contains far less fiber than whole fruit, so the lime juice used here leaves little residue. If you prefer to always avoid lime juice, please tap it and change its rating to Red.



Combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved, about 2 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat, add the mint leaves, and press them gently with a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon until bruised and fragrant. Let the syrup steep for 15 minutes, until the liquid is pale green and noticeably minty.
