Few cocktails carry the same effortless elegance as a properly made Mint Julep, and this one delivers that classic Southern charm in every sip. Fresh mint leaves are gently muddled β just enough to release their fragrant oils without turning bitter β then layered with a homemade simple syrup that takes only a few minutes on the stovetop. The result is a clean, bright sweetness that store-bought mixes simply can't replicate. Poured over a mound of crushed ice and finished with good bourbon, the drink frosts the cup and chills down beautifully in seconds. A dusting of powdered sugar on the mint garnish is an optional touch, but it makes the presentation genuinely stunning. Every single ingredient here is naturally free of poultry in any form, so there's nothing to second-guess β just a timeless, crowd-pleasing cocktail ready to be enjoyed.
