Sweet potatoes roasted at high heat until their edges caramelize and their centers turn buttery-soft are already a hard dish to resist — but a warm maple-pecan glaze takes things to a completely different level. The rounds get a head start with just olive oil, salt, and pepper, building a golden crust on both sides before the real magic happens. That glaze comes together quickly on the stovetop: pure maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger, and a handful of raw pecan halves that soak up every drop of the spiced syrup. The result is sticky, nutty, and fragrant in the best possible way. Because every ingredient here is naturally whole and grain-free, there's no need to scan labels or second-guess anything — it's straightforwardly clean from start to finish. A scatter of fresh thyme at the end adds a subtle herbal note that keeps the dish from tipping into pure dessert territory. This one works just as well as a weeknight side as it does on a holiday table.
