Bright, tangy, and just sweet enough, this strawberry lemonade sparkler is the kind of drink that makes any afternoon feel like a celebration. Fresh strawberries are steeped in a warm maple syrup base to coax out every drop of their jammy, sun-ripened flavor before being strained into a pitcher with real squeezed lemon juice. The combination of still and sparkling water gives it a gentle fizz that feels a little fancy without any effort. Tree nut concerns are completely off the table here — every single ingredient is a whole, recognizable food with nothing hidden in the mix. A handful of ice, a lemon slice, and a sprig of fresh mint turn each glass into something you'd happily pay too much for at a café. It's endlessly refreshing on its own, but it also makes a gorgeous mocktail option when you're hosting a crowd and want something that looks as good as it tastes.

Combine the maple syrup and 1/4 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the syrup is fully dissolved, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes.
Add the hulled and halved strawberries to the cooled maple syrup and press gently with a spoon to release their juice. Let the berries steep for 15 minutes, then strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a large pitcher, pressing the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
