Mold Detox Friendly Lemon Pepper Chicken

•

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
•

  1 tsp kosher salt
•

1 ½ tsp coarsely ground black pepper
  Ingredient note

Dried black pepper can sometimes contain mold toxins, but the small amount in this recipe—about 1/2 teaspoon per serving—is likely tolerated by many. When possible, use a recently purchased organic spice and store it tightly closed in a cool, dry place. If you prefer to always avoid black pepper, please tap it and change its rating to Red.

Use the same amount, stirred into a spoonful of cold water first. Best in non-creamy sauces — it can turn stringy with dairy and loses thickness if boiled long.
