This herbal iced tea is bright, cooling, and layered with flavor — fresh mint and basil steep alongside green tea to create something that tastes far more complex than the short ingredient list suggests. Raw honey and fresh-squeezed lemon juice bring just the right balance of sweetness and citrus zing, and because every ingredient here is whole and unprocessed, you never have to squint at a label wondering what's hiding in the sweetener. So many bottled teas and drink mixes sneak in corn syrup or sweetened flavor syrups, making it genuinely hard to find a refreshing option that's clean from start to finish. Brewing your own solves that problem entirely. The technique is simple but thoughtful — steeping at 175°F keeps the green tea smooth and mellow rather than astringent, and pressing the spent herbs through the strainer coaxes out every last bit of their fragrance. Serve it over ice with a few lemon slices floating on top and it looks as good as it tastes, whether you're sipping solo on a hot afternoon or pouring glasses for a crowd.

Bring 4 cups of water to 175°F (80°C) in a small saucepan — just below a simmer, with small bubbles beginning to form at the bottom. Remove from heat.
Add the green tea bags, mint leaves, and basil leaves to the hot water. Steep for 4–5 minutes, until the tea is a clear golden-green and the herbs are fragrant. Do not steep longer, as the tea can turn bitter.
