Eggs are one of those humble ingredients that somehow never get old, and the Instant Pot makes cooking a perfect batch almost effortless. The pressure-steam method produces whites that are fully set but never rubbery, with yolks that hit that ideal creamy, bright-yellow sweet spot every single time. A quick plunge into an ice bath stops the cooking immediately and makes peeling genuinely easy — no more torn whites or stubborn shell fragments clinging on. Starting at the wider end, where the air pocket creates a natural gap, means the shells practically slide off under a thin stream of water. The whole process is naturally free from any ocean-derived ingredients, so there's zero concern about cross-contact from seafood — just clean, simple protein from eggs, water, and ice. These are endlessly versatile once cooked: slice them onto a salad, mash them into egg salad, or keep a batch in the fridge for a quick high-protein snack all week long.

Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot insert. Place the trivet or steamer basket inside. Arrange the eggs in a single layer on the trivet — they can touch but should not be stacked.
Lock the lid and set the pressure-release valve to Sealing. Cook on Manual (High Pressure) for 5 minutes. While the eggs cook, fill a large bowl with cold water and a generous amount of ice.
