Eggs are one of those kitchen staples that seem simple until you're staring down a pot of unevenly cooked, impossible-to-peel disasters. The Instant Pot changes all of that, delivering consistently set whites and perfectly cooked yolks every single time. A quick natural pressure release followed by an ice bath is the real secret here — it stops the cooking right on cue and makes the shells practically fall off on their own. Starting at the wider end where the air pocket sits gives you that satisfying clean peel that makes a dozen eggs feel effortless. Whether you're meal-prepping for the week, building a protein-packed snack stash, or slicing them over a salad, these come out beautifully every time. The ingredient list is about as short as it gets — just eggs, water, and ice — so there's nothing hidden, nothing processed, and nothing to second-guess.

Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot insert. Place the trivet or steamer basket inside. Arrange the eggs in a single layer on the trivet — they can touch but should not be stacked.
Lock the lid and set the pressure-release valve to Sealing. Cook on Manual (High Pressure) for 5 minutes. While the eggs cook, fill a large bowl with cold water and a generous amount of ice.
