Eggs are one of those rare foods that are naturally gentle on a sensitive gut — no hidden additives, no sneaky ingredients to decode, just pure protein that fits comfortably into a low-FODMAP lifestyle. The Instant Pot takes what can be an inconsistent stovetop task and turns it into something completely repeatable, giving you perfectly cooked yolks every single time. The five-minute pressure cook followed by a natural release is the secret to avoiding that rubbery texture and the dreaded grey ring around the yolk. Transferring the eggs straight into an ice bath locks in that tender, creamy center and makes peeling almost effortless — especially when you start at the wider end where the air pocket gives you a natural entry point. A dozen eggs at once means you can meal-prep a whole week's worth of snacks, quick lunches, or protein-packed additions to salads and grain bowls without any extra effort. With just eggs, water, and ice, there is genuinely nothing here to second-guess — clean, simple, and completely on plan.

Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot insert. Place the trivet or steamer basket inside. Arrange the eggs in a single layer on the trivet — they can touch but should not be stacked.
Lock the lid and set the pressure-release valve to Sealing. Cook on Manual (High Pressure) for 5 minutes. While the eggs cook, fill a large bowl with cold water and a generous amount of ice.
