Eggs are one of the most gut-friendly proteins you can eat — easy to digest, naturally low in irritants, and packed with nutrients your body can actually use. The Instant Pot method takes all the guesswork out of the process, delivering consistently cooked eggs with yolks that are fully set but never chalky or rubbery. The quick ice bath stops the cooking right on cue, which also makes peeling almost effortless — a small detail that makes a real difference when you're prepping a batch for the week. With just eggs, water, and ice, there's nothing here to upset a sensitive system, no additives, no oils, no hidden ingredients to second-guess. These are the kind of reliable, clean-eating staples that make gut-conscious meal prep feel genuinely sustainable rather than restrictive. Keep a batch in the fridge and you've got a ready-to-go snack or protein boost that works with almost any meal.

Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot insert. Place the trivet or steamer basket inside. Arrange the eggs in a single layer on the trivet — they can touch but should not be stacked.
Lock the lid and set the pressure-release valve to Sealing. Cook on Manual (High Pressure) for 5 minutes. While the eggs cook, fill a large bowl with cold water and a generous amount of ice.
