Hard-boiled eggs sound simple enough, but getting them right — no green ring, no rubbery whites, shells that actually peel — can feel like a gamble on the stovetop. The Instant Pot takes all the guesswork out of it, delivering consistently perfect results every single time. Just water, eggs, and an ice bath: three things that are naturally free of coconut in any form, so there's zero need to scrutinize labels or swap out ingredients. The pressure-cook-then-natural-release method is the real secret here, giving the whites time to set gently while keeping the yolks bright and creamy. The ice bath stops the cooking immediately and makes peeling almost effortless — start at the wide end and the shell practically slides off. Whether you're meal-prepping for the week, topping a salad, or just need a quick high-protein snack, this method is reliable enough to become a permanent part of your routine.

Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot insert. Place the trivet or steamer basket inside. Arrange the eggs in a single layer on the trivet — they can touch but should not be stacked.
Lock the lid and set the pressure-release valve to Sealing. Cook on Manual (High Pressure) for 5 minutes. While the eggs cook, fill a large bowl with cold water and a generous amount of ice.
