Dried black beans go straight into the Instant Pot with sautéed onion, garlic, and a good hit of cumin and smoked paprika, so the whole pot builds deep flavor before the lid even goes on. A few optional flecks of jalapeño bring gentle heat, while a bay leaf and a finish of fresh lime juice keep everything bright instead of heavy. Pressure-cooking takes all the guesswork out of stovetop beans — no soaking, no babysitting, just tender, creamy beans with zero chalky centers every time. Spoon them out brothy for a soupy side or drain them for tacos, bowls, and burritos, then pile on chopped cilantro and lime wedges for a fresh finish. This is exactly the kind of pantry-friendly, plant-based staple worth keeping on repeat, and it fits neatly into a vegan kitchen without any fuss.
