The classic Negroni is already a beautifully balanced cocktail, but bruising fresh rosemary and thyme into the mix takes it somewhere genuinely special — aromatic, a little woodsy, and impossible to put down. Each ingredient here is naturally free of thickeners and stabilizers, so there's no need to scrutinize labels or swap anything out. The technique is simple but intentional: pressing the herbs just enough to release their oils without turning them bitter, then stirring the spirits over ice until everything is perfectly chilled and diluted. Straining into a rocks glass over a large cube keeps the drink cold without watering it down too fast. The expressed orange peel is the finishing touch that ties the citrus brightness of the Campari to the botanicals in the gin, making the whole drink feel cohesive and considered. It's the kind of cocktail that looks like it came from a serious bar but comes together in your own kitchen in under five minutes.

Place the rosemary sprig and thyme sprigs in the bottom of a mixing glass. Press them firmly with the back of a bar spoon 3–4 times — just enough to bruise the leaves and release their oils without shredding the herbs.
Add the gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth to the mixing glass, then fill with ice. Stir steadily for 30–40 seconds, until the outside of the glass feels well chilled and the liquid is cold throughout.
