A classic Negroni is already a beautiful thing, but bruising fresh rosemary and thyme before stirring takes it somewhere genuinely special — herbal, aromatic, and a little unexpected. The technique is simple: press the herbs just enough to coax out their oils, then let the gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth do the rest as you stir everything down over ice. That 30-to-40-second stir isn't just for show — it chills the drink evenly and gives it that silky, well-integrated texture that separates a great cocktail from a good one. Expressing the orange peel over the glass at the end adds a bright citrus note that ties the bitter, sweet, and herbal elements together beautifully. Every ingredient here is plant-based, so there's nothing to second-guess — just a stunning, spirit-forward cocktail that happens to fit a meat-free lifestyle without any compromise. It's the kind of drink you make when you want to impress someone, including yourself.

Place the rosemary sprig and thyme sprigs in the bottom of a mixing glass. Press them firmly with the back of a bar spoon 3–4 times — just enough to bruise the leaves and release their oils without shredding the herbs.
Add the gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth to the mixing glass, then fill with ice. Stir steadily for 30–40 seconds, until the outside of the glass feels well chilled and the liquid is cold throughout.
