The classic Negroni is already a beautifully balanced drink, and this herbal riff takes it somewhere even more aromatic and interesting. Bruising the rosemary and thyme before stirring coaxes out their fragrant oils, weaving a subtle garden-fresh note through the bitter Campari and the rich sweetness of the vermouth. The technique is simple but deliberate — a few firm presses with the back of a bar spoon is all it takes to transform a great cocktail into a genuinely memorable one. Expressing the orange peel over the finished drink adds a bright citrus lift right at the end, pulling everything together in the glass. Every ingredient here is naturally grain-free and contains no rice derivatives, so you can sip without a second thought about hidden fillers or additives. Whether you're hosting or just unwinding on a weeknight, this is the kind of cocktail that feels effortlessly sophisticated without requiring a full bar setup.

Place the rosemary sprig and thyme sprigs in the bottom of a mixing glass. Press them firmly with the back of a bar spoon 3–4 times — just enough to bruise the leaves and release their oils without shredding the herbs.
Add the gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth to the mixing glass, then fill with ice. Stir steadily for 30–40 seconds, until the outside of the glass feels well chilled and the liquid is cold throughout.
