Crispy, golden plantain shells replace the usual flour or corn tortillas here, making this a naturally grain-free taco night that doesn't feel like a compromise. The shells are made by smashing thick-cut green plantain rounds mid-bake — a simple trick that creates sturdy, slightly caramelized cups with genuinely satisfying crunch. The turkey filling is where things get really interesting: turmeric, Ceylon cinnamon, ginger, and oregano build a warm, layered spice profile, while coconut aminos and apple cider vinegar add a savory-tangy depth you won't get from a standard taco seasoning packet. Bone broth keeps everything moist and rich without weighing it down. Piled with creamy avocado, crisp shredded cabbage, fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of lime, each bite hits every texture and flavor note you want from a great taco. This is the kind of recipe that makes it easy to skip store-bought shortcuts — every ingredient is clean, whole, and easy to verify — so you can cook with total confidence. Whether you're feeding a crowd or just yourself on a weeknight, these come together in one skillet and one sheet pan with no complicated steps.
