Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Toss the mushroom caps with 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper until evenly coated. Arrange them gill-side up on the prepared baking sheet and set aside.
