- 1 lb cocktail sausages (about 36–40 pieces), gluten free
- 12 oz bacon strips
- ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C). Set a wire rack inside a rimmed baking sheet and lightly coat the rack with cooking spray.

Cut each bacon strip crosswise into thirds. Wrap one bacon piece around each cocktail sausage and secure with a toothpick. Arrange the wrapped sausages seam-side down on the prepared rack, spacing them about 1/2 inch apart.
