Pat the pork tenderloin dry and season all over with the salt and black pepper. Bring a large pot of well-salted water to a boil.
Heat 1 tbsp of the olive oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the pork tenderloin and sear, turning every 2ā3 minutes, until browned on all sides, about 8ā10 minutes total. Reduce the heat to medium and continue cooking until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 145°F (63°C), about 4ā6 minutes more. Transfer the pork to a cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes.
