This recipe uses only a small amount of tomato per serving, which keeps the fructose load low and makes it likely Low Fructose. If you prefer to always avoid tomato, please tap it and change its rating to Red.


In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently with your hands just until the seasonings are evenly distributed — do not overwork the meat. Divide into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4 inch thick, pressing a shallow dimple into the center of each with your thumb.
Heat the olive oil in a large (12-inch) skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the patties and cook undisturbed for 4 minutes, until the underside is deep brown and releases easily from the pan.
