Burgers usually come loaded with ketchup, hot sauce, or spiced mayo — all classic nightshade territory — but these little lettuce cups sidestep every one of those pitfalls without sacrificing a single bit of excitement. The patties get their depth from fresh ginger, garlic, coconut aminos, and a touch of turmeric, so the flavor is bold, savory, and genuinely interesting rather than just "safe by default." Ground beef at an 80/20 ratio means each mini patty stays juicy and gets a beautifully browned crust in the skillet, which is really the moment the whole dish comes together. Crisp butter lettuce leaves stand in for buns and make every bite feel light and fresh, while julienned carrot and scallion greens add color and a little crunch on top. The dipping sauce — coconut aminos, apple cider vinegar, honey, and more ginger — is tangy and slightly sweet, and it ties everything together in a way that feels almost restaurant-worthy. These are the kind of handheld bites you can set out on a platter and watch disappear before you've even sat down.
