Rutabaga doesn't get nearly enough love, but this hearty skillet hash is about to change that. Tender golden cubes of the root vegetable get cooked alongside seasoned ground turkey, fresh ginger, turmeric, and a splash of coconut aminos for a savory, slightly earthy dish that feels both nourishing and genuinely exciting. The double hit of fresh grated and ground ginger gives it a warm, aromatic backbone that makes the whole kitchen smell incredible. Every ingredient here is naturally free from peanuts and peanut-derived products, so there's no label-reading stress or cross-contact concerns to navigate — just straightforward, wholesome cooking. Apple cider vinegar brightens everything at the end, balancing the richness of the coconut oil and turkey beautifully. Finished with sliced scallions and optional fresh parsley, it's a one-pan meal that looks impressive straight from the skillet. Whether you're cooking for a weeknight dinner or meal-prepping for the week, this hash delivers serious flavor with minimal fuss.

Heat 2 tbsp of the coconut oil in a large (12-inch) skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the diced rutabaga in a single layer and cook, undisturbed, for 5 minutes, until the undersides are golden brown. Stir and continue cooking for another 8–10 minutes, stirring every 2–3 minutes, until the rutabaga is tender when pierced with a fork and golden on most sides. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 1 tbsp coconut oil to the same skillet. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
