Rutabaga might not be the first vegetable that comes to mind for a skillet dinner, but once it's golden and caramelized alongside savory ground turkey, you'll wonder why you ever overlooked it. This hash is built around ingredients that genuinely support a nursing body ā lean protein, anti-inflammatory turmeric, and fresh ginger, which has long been valued for digestive comfort and overall wellness during the postpartum period. Coconut aminos and apple cider vinegar add a bright, savory depth without any soy or processed additives that can sometimes feel like a gamble when you're mindful of what you're putting into your body. The double hit of fresh and ground ginger gives the whole dish a warm, aromatic backbone that makes it taste far more complex than the ingredient list suggests. Everything comes together in a single skillet, which means less cleanup on days when energy is already stretched thin. Finished with sliced scallions and a handful of fresh parsley, it's colorful, satisfying, and the kind of meal you'll want to keep on regular rotation.

Heat 2 tbsp of the coconut oil in a large (12-inch) skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the diced rutabaga in a single layer and cook, undisturbed, for 5 minutes, until the undersides are golden brown. Stir and continue cooking for another 8ā10 minutes, stirring every 2ā3 minutes, until the rutabaga is tender when pierced with a fork and golden on most sides. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 1 tbsp coconut oil to the same skillet. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
