Fresh strawberries and bright lime come together in a drink that tastes like summer in a glass. The homemade syrup is the real star here — simmering the berries with maple syrup and lime zest pulls out a gorgeous deep-pink color and a flavor that's so much more vibrant than anything bottled. Straining the cooked fruit through a fine-mesh sieve gives you a silky, jewel-toned base that mixes beautifully with fresh lime juice and chilled sparkling water. Every single ingredient in this cooler is naturally free from tree nuts, so there's zero label-reading stress — just clean, fruity refreshment you can feel good about pouring for anyone at the table. The optional mint sprigs and lime wheels make it look like something from a fancy café, but the whole thing comes together with a saucepan and a pitcher. It's an ideal make-ahead option too, since the strawberry-lime base can be strained and stored until you're ready to pour over ice and top with bubbles.

Combine the maple syrup, water, strawberries, and lime zest in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries soften and begin to break down and the syrup turns a deep pink, about 4–5 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool for 15 minutes. Pour through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher, pressing the solids firmly with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
