Fresh strawberries and bright lime come together in a drink that tastes like summer in a glass. The homemade syrup is the real star here — simmering the berries with maple syrup and lime zest coaxes out a gorgeous deep-pink liquid that's naturally sweet and intensely fruity. Straining the cooked mixture gives you a silky, jewel-toned base that mixes beautifully with fresh lime juice and chilled sparkling water. Every single ingredient in this cooler is clean and straightforward, so there's zero guesswork about what's actually in your glass — no store-bought syrups, no mystery additives, just real fruit and pantry staples. It's the kind of drink that looks impressive enough for a backyard gathering but comes together with minimal effort. Finish each glass with a sprig of mint and a lime wheel and it's practically begging to be photographed before you drink it.

Combine the maple syrup, water, strawberries, and lime zest in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries soften and begin to break down and the syrup turns a deep pink, about 4–5 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool for 15 minutes. Pour through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher, pressing the solids firmly with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
