Fresh citrus and garden mint come together in a sparkling drink that feels like summer in a glass. The base starts with a homemade maple syrup steeped with fresh mint leaves β muddled gently and left to infuse until every drop is fragrant and bright. That syrup gets stirred together with freshly squeezed orange and lime juice before chilled sparkling water brings the whole thing to life with a satisfying fizz. Because everything here is made from scratch with whole, simple ingredients, you never have to second-guess a label or worry about what's hiding in a store-bought mix. It's naturally free of anything processed or unexpected, which makes it a great choice for serving a crowd with mixed dietary needs. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lime wedge and it looks almost too pretty to drink β almost.

Combine the water and maple syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the maple syrup fully dissolves, about 2 minutes. Remove from the heat.
Add the mint leaves to the warm syrup and press them gently with a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon until fragrant and slightly bruised. Let the mint steep for 15 minutes, then strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher, pressing the leaves to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the spent mint.
