Fresh citrus and garden mint come together in a sparkling drink that feels like summer in a glass. The base is a homemade maple mint simple syrup β warm water coaxes the sweetness out of the maple syrup while bruised mint leaves steep right in, giving the whole thing a fragrant, herbal depth you just can't get from a bottle. Freshly squeezed orange and lime juice bring bright, tangy layers that balance the sweetness beautifully. A generous pour of chilled sparkling water ties it all together with just the right amount of fizz. This is the kind of drink that looks impressive at a backyard gathering but comes together with minimal effort and a handful of real ingredients. No store-bought mixes, no mystery additives β just clean, naturally flavored refreshment that anyone can feel good about sipping.

Combine the water and maple syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the maple syrup fully dissolves, about 2 minutes. Remove from the heat.
Add the mint leaves to the warm syrup and press them gently with a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon until fragrant and slightly bruised. Let the mint steep for 15 minutes, then strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher, pressing the leaves to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the spent mint.
