Fresh citrus and garden mint come together in a sparkling drink that feels like summer in a glass. The mint simple syrup is made by steeping bruised fresh leaves in warm maple syrup, which pulls out every bit of that cool, herbal fragrance before you even add the juice. Freshly squeezed orange and lime juices give the cooler a bright, tangy backbone that bottled juice simply can't match. A gentle pour of chilled sparkling water at the end keeps the bubbles lively, so every sip has that satisfying fizz. This is the kind of drink you can batch in a pitcher and set out for a crowd, or just make for yourself on a slow afternoon. With nothing but whole, straightforward ingredients, there's zero guesswork about what's actually in your glass β just clean, refreshing flavor from start to finish.

Combine the water and maple syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the maple syrup fully dissolves, about 2 minutes. Remove from the heat.
Add the mint leaves to the warm syrup and press them gently with a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon until fragrant and slightly bruised. Let the mint steep for 15 minutes, then strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher, pressing the leaves to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the spent mint.
