Bright, icy, and bursting with real strawberry flavor, this frozen lemonade is the kind of drink that makes a hot afternoon feel instantly better. Everything here is built from scratch — fresh-squeezed lemon juice, hulled strawberries, and a quick homemade simple syrup — so you know exactly what's going into your glass. There's nothing to worry about with store-bought blends or mystery ingredients; just pure fruit, sugar, and ice blended into a gloriously slushy treat. The simple syrup comes together in just a few minutes on the stovetop, and once it's chilled, the whole drink blends up in under a minute. You can dial the sweetness or tartness to your exact liking before pouring, which makes it endlessly customizable. Finish it off with a lemon slice and a sprig of fresh mint for a presentation that looks way more impressive than the effort required.

Combine the sugar and 1/3 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold, at least 30 minutes.
Add the hulled strawberries, lemon juice, cold water, ice cubes, and all of the chilled simple syrup to a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth and slushy, about 45–60 seconds.
