Bright, icy, and bursting with real strawberry flavor, this frozen lemonade is the kind of drink that makes a hot afternoon feel instantly manageable. Every sip is made from scratch — fresh-squeezed lemon juice, hulled strawberries, and a quick homemade simple syrup — so you know exactly what's going into your glass. That matters more than people realize, because plenty of bottled lemonades and flavored slushies sneak in additives processed with refined vegetable or seed oils, or use flavorings derived from questionable sources. Here, the ingredient list is refreshingly short and completely clean. The blender does all the heavy lifting, turning everything into a smooth, slushy texture that rivals anything you'd order at a café. A little extra lemon juice or syrup at the end lets you dial in the sweetness and tartness to your exact taste, which is a small but satisfying touch. Garnish with mint and a lemon slice and it looks just as good as it tastes.

Combine the sugar and 1/3 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold, at least 30 minutes.
Add the hulled strawberries, lemon juice, cold water, ice cubes, and all of the chilled simple syrup to a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth and slushy, about 45–60 seconds.
