Bright, icy, and bursting with real strawberry flavor, this frozen lemonade is the kind of drink that makes a hot afternoon feel instantly manageable. Everything comes together in a blender with fresh fruit, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a quick homemade simple syrup — no store-bought mixes or mystery additives in sight. That matters more than you might think, because flavored syrups and pre-made lemonade concentrates can sometimes sneak in unexpected ingredients from shared production lines. Here, you control every single thing that goes into the glass. The simple syrup takes just a few minutes on the stove, and once it's chilled, the whole drink blends up in under a minute into a gorgeous, slushy pour. A little extra lemon juice or syrup at the end lets you dial in the sweet-tart balance exactly to your taste. Finish it with a mint sprig and a lemon slice and it looks like something you'd pay way too much for at a café.

Combine the sugar and 1/3 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold, at least 30 minutes.
Add the hulled strawberries, lemon juice, cold water, ice cubes, and all of the chilled simple syrup to a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth and slushy, about 45–60 seconds.
