Bright, icy, and bursting with real fruit flavor, this frozen strawberry lemonade is the kind of drink that makes a hot afternoon feel instantly better. Every ingredient here is exactly what it sounds like — fresh strawberries, real lemon juice, sugar, water, and ice — so there's nothing hidden to worry about. So many store-bought lemonades and blended drink mixes sneak in stabilizers and emulsifiers to extend shelf life or improve texture, but this one gets its gorgeous slushy consistency purely from blending ice with ripe fruit. The homemade simple syrup comes together in just a few minutes on the stovetop, and once it's chilled, the whole drink blends up in under a minute. You can nudge the sweetness or tartness to your exact liking before pouring, which is something no bottled version will ever let you do. Finished with a lemon slice and a sprig of fresh mint, it looks like something from a café menu — and you made it with five clean ingredients.

Combine the sugar and 1/3 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold, at least 30 minutes.
Add the hulled strawberries, lemon juice, cold water, ice cubes, and all of the chilled simple syrup to a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth and slushy, about 45–60 seconds.
