Bright, herby, and bursting with citrus, this homemade lemonade is the kind of drink that makes a regular afternoon feel like a special occasion. A mint-infused maple syrup forms the backbone of the sweetness here — made by gently steeping fresh mint leaves in warm maple syrup and water, then straining it into a pitcher of freshly squeezed lemon and orange juice. The result is layered and fragrant in a way that no bottled lemonade can touch. Every single ingredient in this recipe is naturally free of wheat and gluten-containing grains, so there's zero label-reading stress — just pure, refreshing flavor. The double citrus combination of lemon and orange gives it a rounded tartness that isn't one-note, and you can easily dial the balance up or down to suit your taste. Pile on the ice, tuck in a few mint sprigs and citrus rounds, and you've got something that looks as good as it tastes.

Combine the maple syrup and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the syrup is fully dissolved, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Add the mint leaves to the warm syrup and press them gently with a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon until fragrant. Let the mint steep for 10 minutes, then strain out and discard the leaves.
