This fiery, fermented tonic is the kind of thing that makes you feel like you're doing something genuinely good for yourself — and honestly, it tastes like it too. Raw horseradish, fresh ginger, turmeric, garlic, citrus zest, and a hit of cayenne all steep together in raw apple cider vinegar for two weeks, building into a bold, complex liquid that's equal parts bracing and warming. A stir of raw honey at the end softens the sharp edges just enough to make it drinkable and even craveable. Because every single ingredient here is a whole, unprocessed food, there's zero guesswork about hidden additives or shared-facility risks — what you see in the jar is exactly what you get. Sesame has a sneaky way of turning up in wellness shots and bottled tonics at the store, so making your own from scratch is genuinely the cleanest route. The two-week steeping process does most of the work for you; a daily shake is all the effort required. Take it by the shot, stir it into warm water, or drizzle it over whatever needs a little life — this tonic earns its place in the fridge.

Add the grated horseradish, grated ginger, grated turmeric, sliced garlic, lemon zest and juice, orange zest and juice, crushed black peppercorns, and cayenne to a clean 1-quart wide-mouth glass jar. Tuck in the rosemary sprig, if using.
Pour the apple cider vinegar over the solids, pressing them down gently so everything is submerged. The jar should be nearly full; if the solids are not covered, add a splash more vinegar.
