Chef's tip
Choose a gluten-free baking blend labeled 1:1 or cup-for-cup and use the same amount. Almond and coconut flour won't work the same way.
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup (2 sticks) dairy free butter, softened
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract

For the cinnamon sugar

3 tbsp granulated sugar
1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

1
Whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl until evenly combined. Set aside.
2
Beat the softened dairy free butter and 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar in a stand mixer (or with a hand mixer) on medium speed until pale and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
