These wings deliver the kind of shatteringly crispy skin that makes everyone reach for seconds, all built around juicy chicken and a sticky, fragrant garlic-herb glaze. The secret to that incredible crunch is a combination of thoroughly dried wings, a coating of arrowroot starch, and a hot oven with a wire rack that lets air circulate all the way around each piece. No beef, pork, or any other red meat shows up anywhere in this recipe — not in the sauce, not in the seasoning — so it's genuinely worry-free for anyone managing a red meat allergy. The glaze comes together in minutes from coconut aminos, honey, apple cider vinegar, fresh garlic, and grated ginger, then gets finished with thyme leaves for an herby brightness that cuts right through the richness. Turmeric and ground ginger in the coating add a warm, golden depth that makes these wings taste far more complex than the short ingredient list suggests. A squeeze of lemon at the end lifts everything and keeps the flavors lively. Whether you're feeding a crowd or just treating yourself, these are the kind of wings that disappear fast.

1 tsp ground turmeric
½ tsp ground ginger
2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
For the glaze
3 tbsp coconut aminos
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp honey
3 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, finely grated
1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
For serving
1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)
1 lemon, cut into wedges (optional)
Instructions
1
Position a rack in the upper third of the oven and preheat to 425°F (220°C). Set a wire rack inside a large rimmed baking sheet and lightly grease the rack with a little coconut oil.
2
