Coconut aminos is a common stand-in for soy sauce on a candida diet. It does carry a little sugar from coconut sap, but this recipe uses only about 3/4 teaspoon per serving, which is likely fine.


Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels and season with 1/2 tsp of the salt. Heat the coconut oil in a large deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add the chicken in a single layer and sear undisturbed for 3–4 minutes, until the undersides are golden and release easily from the pan. Flip and sear the second side for 2 minutes, then transfer the chicken to a plate. The chicken will not be cooked through at this stage.
