Bright, tangy, and just sweet enough, this strawberry lemonade is the kind of drink that makes any afternoon feel like a celebration. The homemade strawberry syrup is the real star — fresh berries are simmered down with sugar and water until they release every bit of their jammy, ruby-red flavor, then strained into a silky concentrate that blends beautifully with fresh-squeezed lemon juice. Everything in this pitcher is straightforward fruit and sugar, which means there are zero hidden animal-derived additives to worry about — a genuine relief when so many packaged drinks and flavored syrups can be surprisingly tricky to navigate. Squeezing your own lemons keeps the ingredient list clean and the flavor sharp in the best possible way. The result is a gorgeous, blush-pink drink that's refreshing, naturally made, and endlessly crowd-pleasing. Pile the glasses high with ice, drop in a few fresh strawberry slices for a little extra flair, and you've got something that looks like it came from a fancy café with almost no effort at all.

Combine the strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the strawberries soften and release their juices, about 5–7 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and let the syrup cool for 5 minutes, then pour it through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl or measuring cup, pressing the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, about 20–25 minutes.
