There is something deeply satisfying about a tall glass of homemade peach iced tea on a warm afternoon, and this version delivers the real thing — no artificial flavors, no mystery syrups, just ripe peaches cooked down into a silky, fragrant sweetener that makes every sip taste like summer. The peach syrup comes together in under ten minutes on the stovetop, and straining it through a fine-mesh sieve gives you a beautifully smooth, golden liquid that blends seamlessly into the brewed black tea. Because every ingredient here is naturally free of tree nuts, there is absolutely nothing to second-guess — just clean, wholesome components you can feel good about. The brewed tea gets a splash of cold water and the homemade syrup stirred right in, then it chills in the fridge until you are ready to pour. Served over ice with optional peach slices and fresh mint, it looks like something from a restaurant patio but comes together with almost no effort. This is the kind of drink that disappears fast, so you may want to make a double batch.

Combine the chopped peaches, sugar, and 1/2 cup water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the peaches soften and begin to break down, about 8–10 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the peach mixture cool for 5 minutes, then press it through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl or measuring cup, pressing the solids firmly with the back of a spoon to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the solids.
