1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
Chef's tip
Choose a gluten-free baking blend labeled 1:1 or cup-for-cup and use the same amount. Almond and coconut flour won't work the same way.
¼ tsp salt
1 cup chopped pecans

For the marshmallow layer

3 cups miniature marshmallows
Chef's tip
Standard marshmallows can be cut down; minis melt faster when quick melting matters.

For the chocolate frosting

½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
⅓ cup whole milk
3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup chopped pecans

Instructions

1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2
In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter for the brownie base, stirring occasionally, until fully melted. Remove from heat and whisk in the cocoa powder until smooth.
