For the garlic butter

4 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp kosher salt
¼ tsp red pepper flakes
2 tbsp fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped

For serving

¼ cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

1
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
2
Lightly flour a clean work surface. Divide the pizza dough into 12 equal pieces, each roughly 1.3 oz (37g). Roll each piece into a rope about 8 inches long, then tie it into a loose knot, tucking both ends underneath. Arrange the knots on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 1 inch apart.
