Few drinks are as instantly refreshing as a tall glass of cucumber lime agua fresca, and this homemade version is genuinely hard to beat on a hot day. Fresh English cucumbers get blended smooth and strained into a pitcher, then brightened with a generous pour of real lime juice and balanced with a simple homemade syrup — no artificial flavors, no mystery additives. The result is light, subtly sweet, and just a little tart in the best possible way. Because the whole drink is built from whole fruits, water, sugar, and salt, it's naturally free from grains and starches without any substitutions required. Straining the blended cucumber through a fine-mesh sieve gives you a beautifully clear, silky liquid that looks as good as it tastes. Serve it over plenty of ice with a few mint sprigs and lime slices, and it's the kind of thing guests will ask you to make again before they've even finished their first glass.
