Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Fit the unbaked pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges. Line the crust with parchment paper and fill with pie weights or dried beans, pressing them into the corners and up the sides.
Bake the weighted crust for 15 minutes, until the edges are set and just beginning to turn golden. Remove the parchment and weights, then return the crust to the oven and bake for another 8–10 minutes, until the bottom is dry and pale golden throughout. Transfer to a wire rack and let cool completely.
