Bright, tangy, and endlessly refreshing, this citrus mocktail is the kind of drink that makes any occasion feel a little more special — no alcohol required. Three kinds of fresh-squeezed juice come together with a lemon-zest simple syrup that adds just the right touch of sweetness without overpowering the natural citrus punch. The sparkling water finish gives it a lively, effervescent lift that makes it feel genuinely festive in the glass. So many store-bought mocktails and flavored drinks sneak in coconut water or coconut-derived sweeteners, but every single ingredient here is straightforward and easy to verify. Making the simple syrup from scratch takes only a few minutes on the stovetop, and the whole drink comes together with nothing more than a shaker and some ice. Garnished with a fresh orange slice and a sprig of mint, it looks stunning served at a dinner party, a brunch spread, or just a lazy afternoon on the porch.

Combine the sugar, water, and lemon zest in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from the heat and let the syrup cool for 10 minutes, then strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a small bowl or jar, discarding the zest.
Combine the orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, and 2 tablespoons of the cooled lemon simple syrup in a cocktail shaker or pitcher. Taste and add up to 1 additional tablespoon of syrup if you prefer a sweeter drink.
