Rich, snappy, and studded with nuts and fruit, this chocolate bark is the kind of treat that looks impressive but comes together with surprisingly little effort. Dark chocolate in the 60–70% cacao range brings a deep, satisfying flavor while delivering a dose of minerals like magnesium and iron — nutrients that matter when your body is working hard to nourish a baby. The almonds and pistachios add healthy fats and a satisfying crunch, while the dried cranberries bring a pop of tartness that keeps every bite interesting. Tempering the chocolate — melting it down and then seeding it back with reserved chopped chocolate — gives you that glossy, professional-looking finish and a clean snap when you break it apart. The marbled swirl of white chocolate makes it genuinely beautiful, so it doubles as a snack you'd actually be proud to set out for guests. A sprinkle of flaky sea salt over the top ties everything together and makes the chocolate flavor bloom. Break it into pieces, stash some in the fridge, and reach for a square whenever you need a quick, feel-good bite between feeds.

Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Divide the chopped dark chocolate into two portions: set aside about one-quarter (3 oz) in a separate small bowl, and place the remaining three-quarters (9 oz) in a heatproof bowl.
Set the heatproof bowl with the 9 oz of dark chocolate over a saucepan of barely simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water. Stir frequently until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth, and registers 115–120°F (46–49°C) on an instant-read thermometer.
