Fresh blackberries and bright mint come together in this stunning cocktail that's as gorgeous to look at as it is to sip. The deep purple juice from the muddled berries swirls through the glass like something out of a craft cocktail bar, but it's completely doable at home with just a handful of simple ingredients. A quick homemade simple syrup keeps things clean and transparent β you know exactly what's going in, which is a relief when you're navigating a spice-heavy world and want to keep things uncomplicated. The lime juice brings a sharp, citrusy backbone that balances the sweetness of the berries beautifully, while the sparkling water keeps every sip light and refreshing. Muddling the mint just enough to bruise it β rather than shred it β is the small technique that makes the whole drink smell incredible from the first pour. Garnish with a lime wheel and a few extra blackberries on the rim and it looks like something you'd pay twelve dollars for at a rooftop bar.
