Fresh blackberries and bright lime juice come together in a cocktail that's as beautiful to look at as it is to drink. Muddling the berries and mint directly in the glass releases deep purple juice and that unmistakable herbal fragrance, setting the stage before a single drop of rum hits the ice. The homemade simple syrup takes only a few minutes on the stovetop and lets you dial in exactly how sweet you want things β no mystery ingredients, no shortcuts. White rum and sparkling water round everything out with a clean, effervescent finish that feels genuinely refreshing. Since this drink is built entirely from fruit, fresh herbs, sugar, citrus, and spirits, it's naturally free of legumes without any substitutions or label-reading required. It's the kind of cocktail that looks like it came from a craft bar but comes together in your own kitchen in under fifteen minutes.
