Few drinks nail the balance between refreshing and satisfying quite like this half-and-half classic. Steeped black tea meets bright, homemade lemonade in a pitcher that practically screams summer afternoon. The lemonade is built from scratch — fresh-squeezed juice, a quick simple syrup, and cold water — so every sip tastes clean and genuinely tart rather than cloying. Steeping the tea bags without squeezing them keeps the flavor smooth and mellow, which is exactly what you want when it's going up against that zippy citrus. Everything here is naturally free of nuts and tree nuts of any kind, so there's zero label-reading stress — just pure, crowd-pleasing refreshment. Serve it over a tall glass of ice with a lemon slice and a sprig of mint, and it looks as good as it tastes.

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat, add the 4 tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove and discard the tea bags without squeezing them, then stir in the remaining 2 cups of cold water. Set aside to cool to room temperature, about 20 minutes.
While the tea cools, combine the sugar and 1/2 cup water in the saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved and the syrup is clear, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
