Few drinks are as satisfying as a tall, ice-cold Arnold Palmer on a warm afternoon, and this homemade version absolutely delivers. The combination of bold black tea and bright, freshly squeezed lemonade is a classic for a reason — it's refreshing, balanced, and endlessly drinkable. Because everything is made from scratch with simple, whole ingredients, there's zero guesswork about what's actually in your glass. No store-bought mixes, no mystery additives, just real lemon juice, brewed tea, and a quick homemade simple syrup. The lemonade is intentionally tart and bright, which cuts through the earthiness of the tea in the most satisfying way. Garnished with fresh mint and lemon slices, it looks as good as it tastes — effortlessly impressive for a backyard gathering or a quiet afternoon on the porch.

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat, add the 4 tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove and discard the tea bags without squeezing them, then stir in the remaining 2 cups of cold water. Set aside to cool to room temperature, about 20 minutes.
While the tea cools, combine the sugar and 1/2 cup water in the saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved and the syrup is clear, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
